The Unhealthy Behavior Called Anorexia - 915 Words
Introduction In this assignment we choose to write about the unhealthy behavior called ââ¬Å"anorexiaâ⬠. The reason for choosing this topic is because one of our closest friends had to leave Hawaii because of this ââ¬Å"diseaseâ⬠. Both Isabell and me felt that we could not help her at all regarding this illness, since she did not want to listen to us. She was determined to loose as much weight as possible, and she did not see that she was really hurting herself, and she was convincing us that she did not have any problem, she explanation to us was that she just eat really healthy, meaning just fruit and vegetables. However, at the end, her parents made her come back to Norway, so they could help her. Anorexia Anorexia nervosa, which is mostly referred to simply as anorexia, is a serious and potentially life-threatening mental illness. Extreme food restriction, inappropriate eating habits, obsession with having a thin body, and a fear of weight gain, as well as a distorted body self-perception figure characterize this eating disorder.
